Is it really free, or is there a catch?
Genuinely free. No card, no deposit, no trial. I keep five slots open each week because it's how I meet the people I eventually work with - and because most people only need the one conversation.
Will you try to sell me something?
Honestly: if I think longer support would genuinely help you, I'll mention it once in the last three minutes. If I don't think it would, I won't bring it up at all. Either way you keep the plan.
How long is the call, and is it on video?
Thirty minutes on Google Meet. Camera on is nicer but not required - plenty of people join audio-only and it works just as well.
My break was very long. Is it too late?
The longest break among the women I've worked with was eleven years, and she's employed now. Length matters far less than how you explain it and which roles you go after.
What should I prepare before the call?
Nothing. Bring your CV if it's handy - if it isn't, don't worry. Just find thirty quiet minutes where you won't be interrupted.
